| Our primary goal in our breeding program is preserving the temperament, beauty, standard and health of the American Cocker Spaniel. All of our dogs are at least two years of age and have passed all applicable health testing prior to being bred. Our dogs are all kid tested and OFA/CERF Approved. We go above and beyond the standard eye and hip testing to include Patella, Thyroid and also Elbow which are problems showing up in Cockers due to the lack of testing being done. Most of my dogs have either competed or are actively competing in AKC Conformation Events. My Cocker's are well bred, champion bloodline, A.K.C registered dogs. Their ancestors can be found in The World of the Cocker Spaniel book written by the famous Bill Gorodner and Lloyd Alton (of Ging's Kennel), and published by T.F.H Publications, Inc. Which may I add is a Highly Recommended owners manual for any Cocker Spaniel Owner. This book is available @ www.amazon.com In order to obtain one of my babies there is a 4 page application process complete with VET, Groomer, and personal references. This is to be certain our babies only get the very best of homes. In Viewing my site, If you have decided that an Aine Cocker is the perfect pet for you please feel free to send me a little note about You, Your family, Your Fur-kids (whether present or deceased) and your plans for your new family member to be. This will start the process of how to become an approved parent. If In Viewing my site you have decided you would like one of my babies as a possible addition to your breeding program here is a simple questionnaire that will determine your eligibility. 1. Do you or have you ever bred a Mutt or Hybrid? 2. Do you plan to breed this dog/pup as much as possible to make money? 3. Do you plan on keeping this dog/pup in a cage for most of it's life beyond housebreaking? 3. Do you own several different breeds in hopes of developing one of your own? 4. Do you Disagree with the Standards of Breeding Cockers set forth by the American Spaniel Club? 5. Do you disagree with Health testing? 6. Do you have any dogs in your breeding program that are not AKC or CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) registered? If you have answered yes to ANY of the questions above then don't even bother sending an email. You have officially been denied. If you answered Yes to the very first question then you definitely need to correct your vision and note the VERY first sentence at the top of this Page. Here, I'll write it again this time in BOLD and UNDERLINED. Our primary goal in our breeding program is preserving the temperament, beauty, standard and health of the American Cocker Spaniel. Preserving the American Cocker Spaniel is just that. I do not and will not adopt a dog/pup to anyone who has any question as to whether or not they'd like to Produce a Hybrid (fancy term for a MUTT) If you want a Mutt Click on the link to the left of the screen that says Rescue, there are dozens and dozens of mixed breeds all looking for that special home in the rescues/shelters listed on that page. If you breed Mutts please still take a look at the shelters/Rescues. You more than likely have your own pups sitting in one of them. |
